has the largest Black Bear population in North America, and Vancouver Island has the densest population of bears in the entire province.

Vancouver Island Black Bears have been re-classified as a separate sub-species of Black Bear, now known as the "Island Bear".

Black Bears on Vancouver Island are well known as the largest of their species in all of North America. Come hunting with Dave Fyfe and his excellent hunting guides and see for yourself.

Black Bear hunters can expect to see many, many Black Bears on their 5-day hunt with North Island Guide Outfitters. With a very high percentage of mature boars in the population your chances of bagging a trophy are excellent.

Black Bear hunts with North Island Guide Outfitters are conducted mainly in the Spring , using spot and stalk methods. There is no more exciting way to hunt black bears than looking over numerous bears and choosing the trophy that you would most like to harvest!

Spring hunt only: License & tag NOT included


Hunt includes:

- Lodging (hotels, logging camp or cabins)

What to bring:

- Camera
- Binoculars ( if desired)
- Medium weight hiking boots
- Clothing - layered clothing
- No specific hunting garments/colors required

- Tags & Licences
- Any taxidermy related costs above and beyond skinning and caping

Choice of hunting dates: Dates in order of deposits received.
Deposit: 50% required at time of booking.
Cancellation policy: Deposit is nonrefundable if cancellation is within 180 days of arrival date.
